Free Heritage Skills Training!

Work is well underway on the Prescot Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) --- a £3.2 million project which will see the repair and restoration of the town's historic fabric. The Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded £1.85 million to the project with additional funding provided by Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Knowsley Housing Trust and the Energy Homes Fund.

As well as restoring Prescot's heritage, THI is also providing training opportunities in heritage and conservation skills.

The first heritage skills training event will focus on the repair and maintenance of traditional buildings. The course takes place on 3 and 4 December 2013 at the Deane's House, Church Street, Prescot.

The course is particularly beneficial to property owners, property managers, contractors,  built environment professionals and anybody with a real interest in history and heritage conservation.
