The Rucksack Project Help For The Homeless

The Rucksack Project Help For The Homeless

Teams or individuals who would like to support an initiative to help people who are sleeping rough this winter are invited to take part in the Rucksack Project.

The aim of the Rucksack Project is to pass on a little Christmas spirit to those living on the streets. For example, in Liverpool, it is estimated that over 700 people are currently homeless.

The idea is to pack a rucksack with items for somebody who is homeless. You can obviously put whatever you want into the rucksack, but the main things required are sleeping bags, coats, jumpers, hat, gloves, soup and a flask.

Filled rucksacks should be dropped off at any time on Wednesday 11 December at either the Whitechapel Centre, Langsdale Street, Liverpool L3 8DU or The Basement Advisory Centre, 60 Parr Street, Liverpool, L1 4JN.

If you want more information on the Rucksack Project, give Therese Grace a call on 0151 443 5094.
