Environmental Education --- In a Box!

MRWA LogoAn initiative aimed at helping Knowsley children care for their environment is coming to schools --- in a box.

In April, 'Educrate' boxes will arrive at 11 primary schools, helping youngsters learn more about the following four environmental topics:

  • Reducing food waste
  • Composting and growing
  • Swapping instead of throwing away
  • Recycling textiles.

'Green' sessions will be delivered by Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council and local charity, Faiths4Change.

The scheme has been funded by a grant of £18,780 from Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority.
