Alcohol Awareness Campaign In Knowsley

Alcohol Awareness Campaign In Knowsley

To signpost national Alcohol Awareness Week (in November), there will be a series of interactive roadshows across Knowsley to help people understand the amount of alcohol units they are consuming.

The "Know Your Units" events will engage with local people at a number of sites, providing fun and informative activities to explain exactly how many units are contained in the increasingly wide range of alcohol products available from supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.

The roadshows take place in Knowsley during September and the most local location will be at the Village Shopping Parade in Stockbridge Village on Thursday 12 September and Thursday 19 September. Other venues include Huyton, Prescot, Kirkby and Halewood.

Did you know that over 10 million adults (25% of UK's population) drink above the recommended guidelines of the Chief Medical Officer? Drinking above these levels can seriously harm your health. So, if you've got the chance, pop down to Stockbridge Village and see what the "Know Your Units" roadshow is about.
