Beating Of The Bounds --- Completed!
Every year, the Beating of the Bounds takes place on a date decided by the Mayor of the Town Council. This year, the Mayor, Cllr. Dennis Baum, selected Sunday 24 August.
The circular walk was about 2.5 miles long and took about 90 minutes to complete. Over twenty walkers took part and once again, as in previous years, nobody got lost!
The walk commenced at the Sports Pavilion in Stockbridge Village and took in Pool Hey Playing Fields, Boodecroft Doorstep Green, Sanctuary Woods, Flukers Brook Lane, Alder Lane, Croxteth Brook and Littlewoods.
The weather was really fine and let's hope that next year's climatic conditions are equally pleasant. It has not always been the case!
