Bogus Official Call Warning!

Please be wary of companies claiming to be working for Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council (KMBC) offering refunds on Council Tax.

The scam has seen residents telephoned at home by somebody claiming to be from KMBC. The resident is asked to make an appointment with them to review their Council Tax banding with a view to obtaining a refund.

KMBC can confirm that none of its officers are contacting residents about overpayment of Council Tax and it is NOT working with any private company on this matter.
