Celebrating Knowsley
To celebrate Knowsley being Liverpool City Region Combined Authority
Borough of Culture this year, we saw our magnificent stately home illuminated in a series of dramatic projections that celebrated Knowsley's colourful past, present and future. The various light projections looked incredible lighting up the front façade of the Hall.
This stunning lightshow depicted images from the medieval fable The Eagle and Child which Sir John Stanley adopted as the family crest in 1385 and is still used by The Earls of Derby today. The pictorial narrative went on to show Knowsley's historical links to William Shakespeare and Shakespeare North and limerick writer and artist Edward Lear.
