Dog Fouling Crackdown
It has been recently been announced that Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council has issued more than 4,000 fixed penalty notices in a tough crackdown on environmental anti-social behaviour.
Enforcement officers have been patrolling the borough issuing £75 fines to people who are caught littering or failing to clean up after their dogs.
The Council's enforcement officers have been supported over the past 15 months by officers from Kingdom Security to help keep Knowsley clean.
The Council has received a great amount of support from residents regarding the crackdown. The Council currently spends almost £2million each year on street cleaning and this crackdown is designed to encourage positive changes in people's behaviour.
