First Historic Environment Strategy Published!
Knowsley has a wealth of architectural and natural features. Everybody probably knows that! But did you know that the first 'Historic Environment Strategy' has recently been published to help conserve and enhance those features for future generations?
The five year plan aims to find the best way of maintaining and developing our heritage in a way that encourages economic, social and environmental regeneration.
At the same time, the Strategy seeks to maintain and enhance the important features of Knowsley. These features include buildings, monuments, parks and gardens as well as archaeology.
The Strategy sets out an action plan of the important work needed to be undertaken over the next five years in order to protect and manage the rich heritage of Knowsley. For more information on the Strategy and other conservation issues visit www.knowsley.gov.uk.
P.S. News Update: yesterday we published a piece on 'Dry January'. When I got home, my wife informed me that she had signed up for it. I guess that means no alcohol for me in January also. Happy New Year!
