If you’re over 50 and looking for a way to keep fit and make new friends, then the Older People’s Fun Olympics might be for you.

The Knowsley Older People’s Fun Olympics charity organises weekly sessions at Volair leisure centres at Huyton, Halewood and Kirkby including fun activities such as indoor kurling, badminton, indoor bowls, soft ball tennis, darts, table tennis, and other games.

Each year those attending the three centres are invited to meet up join an annual event when teams compete for the Knowsley Older People’s Fun Olympics (KOPFO) Shield.

The free sessions are held at:

Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park, Longview Drive, Huyton L36 6EG: Thursdays 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Kirkby Leisure Centre, Cherryfield Drive, Kirkby L35 8SA: Wednesdays 1pm – 4pm

Halewood Leisure Centre, Baileys Lane, Halewood L26 0TY: Thursdays 10.30am – 12.30pm
