Knowsley residents will be able to get their first, second and booster jabs at our Grab a Jab clinics in Huyton and Halewood.

All eligible residents (18+) will be able to access vaccinations at the clinics which will be supported by the military to ensure as many vaccines can be administered as possible.

The clinics will be taking at:-

  • Alamein Barracks, Liverpool Road, Huyton, L36 3RW from Wednesday 15 December to Friday 17 December (10am until 4pm)
  • Hollies Hall, Hollies Road, Halewood, L26 OTH on Saturday 18 December (10am until 4pm)
  • New Hutte Community Centre, Halewood, L26 1TT on Sunday 19 December (10am until 4pm).

No appointment is needed, and you don’t need to be registered with a GP.

The COVID-19 vaccination offers you the best protection from the virus and reduces your chances of getting seriously sick.

With cases of the Omicron variant growing across the country and cases of COVID-19 on the rise in the borough, it is vital that we all take steps to protect ourselves and those around us. By getting vaccinated, you are also doing your bit to protect our local NHS services.

Military support has been provided as part of the UK Government’s extension of the COVID-19 vaccination programme in response to the Omicron variant.

Cllr Christine Bannon, Cabinet Member for Health, said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to secure this additional vaccination capacity for our residents, especially as we enter a crucial period in our continuing fight against COVID-19.

“The emergence of the Omicron variant has led to precautionary measures being put into place to reduce the risk of the virus spreading. However, it is only through vaccination that we can protect ourselves from getting very sick or even hospitalised by COVID-19.

“I urge all eligible residents to get down and grab a jab. If you need support with transport, there are options available to you and our team will do everything they can to make sure you can get your vaccination.”
