Have You Signed Up For 'Dry January'?

National alcohol charity Alcohol Concern is encouraging residents to take part in 'Dry January', a 31 day challenge to cut out alcohol. Those taking part will see financial and health benefits, as well as using it as an opportunity to assess their drinking habits.

Dry January follows on from the successful alcohol roadshow which took place in Knowsley throughout October and November. The roadshow was designed to help residents understand how many units of alcohol they were consuming.

A panel of experts including doctors, dentists, nutrition specialists and fitness professionals will be available for online chats through the Dry January Facebook page and Twitter feed, offering support, advice and encouragement to those taking part.

The charity is aiming to sign up at least 10,000 people for the 2014 challenge. For more information about signing up visit www.dryjanuary.org.uk
