Knowsley Town Council has two indoor facilities:
The Town Council owns the Bob Whiley Community Centre and Sports Pavilion. The Town Council offices are in the Village Hall, which is currently leased from Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council.
Other facilities that have been part funded or facilitated by the Town Council include the playgrounds in both Knowsley Village and Stockbridge Village. At the Recreation Ground, the Town Council fully financed the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) which is situated adjacent to the Bob Whiley Community Centre. The MUGA has proved very popular with local youngsters and is another welcome recreational facility in Knowsley Village. At the Recreation Ground, there is also a trim trail for those wishing to exercise in an outdoor setting.
Bob Whiley Community Centre
The Bob Whiley Community Centre is now open after refurbishment works. The Centre has recently been extensively refurbished and newly modernised is now back open and available to hire by the public, community groups, exercise classes and local businesses. Community Pavilion
The Community Pavilion in Pool Hey, Stockbridge Village has now completed its extensive refurbishment bring it up to modern standards with additional space, the building comprises of a main hall, a large side room and a smaller room. Many public open spaces are managed by the Town Council although the day to day maintenance is undertaken by the Borough Council.
