Maureen Clunan Award 2014
The Town Council decided to introduce the Maureen Clunan Award in recognition of the tireless community work undertaken by the late councillor.
Maureen sadly passed away in December 2013 and it was felt that an annual award would be an appropriate tribute.
The inaugural winner of the Award was Lynne Ambrose. In the picture, Lynne (far left) collected the award from the Town Council's Mayor, Councillor Dennis Baum and Maureen's sister, Margaret Hughes (centre), and son, Terence Clunan (far right).
The community group winner as nominated by Lynne was Knowsley Village Community Association. The Association, represented by Sylvia Ambrose (centre right), received a grant of £750 from the Town Council.
The Town Council's congratulations go to Lynne Ambrose and Knowsley Village Community Association. In addition, we would like to thank the members of the Clunan family for giving their permission to introduce the Maureen Clunan Award.
