Moments of Light
Knowsley – the Borough and the Council – is celebrating its 50th anniversary. To kick-start the celebrations, Moments of Light will be lighting up towns and villages from 18 to 21 January 2024, bringing international street theatre performers Spark! to Halewood, Huyton, Kirkby and Prescot for an interactive live music and movement spectacular, with dynamic choreography and lighting design. Each performance will end with an eye-catching finale by outdoor arts performance specialists Walk the Plank.

Friday 19 January 2024 in Huyton Village Centre

Sunday 21 January 2024 at Halewood Leisure Centre

Following Moments of Light, Kirkby Gallery will be hosting their latest exhibition – Five – which will showcase five very different fine painting practices by artists with a connection to Knowsley. The exhibition runs from 22 January 2024 until 30 March 2024. Sophie Elsden, Paul Gatenby, Natalie Gilmore, Tony O’Connell, and Alun Roberts all feature in this unique exhibition giving visitors the opportunity to explore the practice of each artist, their ideas and techniques up close. You can view the exhibition Monday – Friday from 10am until 5pm (last entry 4.30pm) and on Saturday from 10am until 1pm (last entry 12.30pm).
