Financial Regulations

Financial Regulations set out the rules for how the Town Council manages its money. They are in place to ensure that public funds are used properly, responsibly, and transparently.

The regulations help the Council:

  • Protect public money by preventing misuse, fraud, or error

  • Ensure accountability in financial decision-making

  • Follow legal and audit requirements

  • Set clear procedures for spending, budgeting, and reporting

  • Promote good financial management and value for money

By following these regulations, the Council demonstrates good governance and maintains the trust of the community.

Financial Regulations are always considered at the Annual General Meeting of the Town Council.
