General Power of Competence
Knowsley Town Council adopted the General Power of Competence at its Annual General Meeting held on 21 May 2026, in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.
The General Power of Competence gives the Town Council the flexibility to do anything an individual can do, unless specifically prohibited by law. This helps the Council respond to local needs and support the community in a wide range of ways.
