Sir Bradley Wiggins Rides The Tour Of Britain

The Tour de France winner of 2012 and Olympic champion Sir Bradley Wiggins will lead Sky Pro Cycling in the tenth anniversary Tour of Britain which gets underway on Sunday 15 September.

Sir Bradley will be joined by fellow British riders Josh Edmondson and Ian Stannard. The strong six rider line up is completed by Matthew Hayman (Australia), Bernhard Eisel (Austria) and David Lopez (Spain).

Sir Bradley has riden the Tour of Britain on four previous occasions (2004, 2009, 2010 and 2012) and will be among the favourites for the Stage Three Individual Time Trial at Knowsley as he continues preparations for the World Time Trial Championships in Italy days after The Tour finishes.

The time trial in Knowsley, on Tuesday 17 September, starts at the Safari Park and works its way to Knowsley Village before the riders turn up Mill Lane (just outside the Village Hall) and head back to the Safari Park.
