Town Council Awards More Grants!

During the current financial year, the Town Council has awarded grants to nine local organisations. At the last Meeting of the Town Council, the Mayor presented ceremonial cheques to the latest community groups to receive a grant.

A grant of £750 was awarded to the Stockbridge Village Community Sports and Health Association. Anthony Thompson picked up the cheque on behalf of the Association. The money will go towards the cost of fitness equipment at the Sports Pavilion.

In addition, a grant cheque of £500 was presented to the Platform Theatre Community Interest Company. Platform Theatre had produced the highly acclaimed Aladdin pantomime (see picture!) at Stockbridge Neighbourhood Centre. Eliza Brittles collected the cheque on behalf of the organisation.
