When Another Dragon Roars’ is an exciting and thought-provoking production involving innovative storytelling, puppetry, and music.
Children will explore the different emotions and feelings we sometimes experience and will be encouraged to think about how they can be dealt with. As told through stories with mythical creatures taking centre stage, the play looks into the different ways we express feeling such as anger and anxiety. It is all told in a fun and appropriate way for children five and over.
Questions for children to think about to encourage them to think about our own emotions include why do dragons roar? Do they roar with worry? Do they ever get lonely? Can you calm an angry dragon?
Liverpool-based children’s theatre companies Petite Ullaloom and Altered Scale Theatre are bringing the play to Knowsley as part of the Great Emerging Marvellous (GEM) Places initiative. This exciting initiative has been bringing cultural events and activities to libraries across Knowsley, thanks to funding from Arts Council England.
With Petite Ullaloom’s distinctive storytelling style and Altered Scale’s brilliant visual puppetry techniques, this play will ignite your child’s imagination!
Tickets are just £3 which can be bought in person from each library, by calling Knowsley Culture Development and Events on 0151 443 5749, or online where an extra fee applies - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/when-another-dragon-roars-tickets-55568044517?aff=ebdssbdestsearch
