Family-friendly events throughout the school summer holidays

Residents and visitors to our town centres can once again look forward to a programme of FREE, fun-filled events this summer.

Launching on Saturday 23 July, Halewood shopping centre, Huyton Village Centre along with Kirkby and Prescot town centres will host family-friendly events throughout the school summer holidays.

Events will take place on Saturdays unless noted otherwise below:

Halewood Shopping Centre

(between 11am – 3pm)

Saturday 23 July – The Acro Chaps, Punch and Judy show, carousel music box, The Cheeky Charlies 3-piece Dixie band, craft workshop

Saturday 20 August – The Halewood Games, The Wonky Olympics, The PE Teachers

Wednesday 24 August – Dinosaur Invasion

 

Huyton Village Centre

23 July – Fat Cat brass band, Kevin & Perry Go Large

30 July – The Acro Chaps, Inverse Mermaids, King Brass

6 August – Live music, Plucky the giant chicken, stilts, balloons, plus glitter and face painting

13 August – Titan the Robot, Granny Turismo

20 August – Jurassic Journey dinosaur event, dino trail and Jurassic Jeep

27 August – Stars and cars: Meet the Osbournes, Freddie Mercury, Batman, Gotham City Police car and Ghostbusters car

Huyton Jubilee Garden

Monday 15 – Sunday 28 August (10am – 4pm)

Jack Union & Victoria Sponge, garden games, picnic benches and photo peep boards each day.

13 August – Enchanted walking trees, Stilt walking butterflies, Kevin & Perry

20 August – Aerial Mermaid hoop artist, Inverse Mermaids

27 August – Superheroes, Pre-hee men

19 – 21 August – Serious Nonsense Festival (part of Knowsley’s Borough of Culture year)

27 August – Titan the Robot, Granny Turismo

Prescot Jubilee Garden
